It's Record Store Day. Check out our RSD coverage, which includes thoughts on a selection of special releases as well as a deep look back at the Paramount label from Grafton, Wisconsin, which released some of the most essential early blues records.

Bob Gale, who wrote all three Back to the Future movies, is the keynote speaker at DePaul University's Page One: Chicago's Entertainment Writing Conference, a full day of discussion about the TV, game, and movie biz, free and open to the public.

The Nature Conservatory hosts Picnic for Earth at Millennium Park, an event that promotes sustainable living, featuring cooking demonstrations Charlie McKenna of Lillie's Q and Melissa Graham of Purple Asparagus. Blind Pilot also performs.
