Artist Kara Walker brings her life-size silhouettes to the Art Institute of Chicago in the show Rise Up Ye Mighty Race!

Saru Jayaraman, cofounder of Restaurant Opportunities Centers United, a national restaurant workers' organization, will be at the Harold Washington Library Center to discuss Behind the Kitchen Door, which takes a look at sustainable restaurants.
