Corrections: January 27, 2013 An article on Jan. 13 about gains made by female film directors misstated the language used in Reema Kagti's thriller "Talaash," and Gauri Shinde's marital comedy "English Venglish." They were filmed in Hindi—not in Hindu, which is a religion.

"Hey Artie, it's Mitch. Can you tell me what the hell is going on here?! 'Hindu' is not a religion! You think 'Jew' is a fucking religion?"

( . . . )

"For Christ's sake, Artie, that's no excuse. If we've got to outsource, let's do it to India, you know what I'm saying? Now we've got to run another goddamn correction to a correction. As if the fucking David Carr/South Park debacle weren't bad enough already. And who the hell at Science Times thinks the goddamn moon is a planet?"

( . . . )

"Yeah, yeah, I know. But put yourself in my shoes. 'An article in the Jan. 29 Science Times misidentified a familiar celestial body. The large object orbiting earth at a distance of 238,900 miles is a moon, not a planet.' I mean, come on. We could hire back our entire copy desk for the price of the leftovers from pizza night. Jesus!"

( . . . )

"Look, it's not as if I'm yelling about the Sunday magazine's misidentification of economist Arthur Pigou as *Alfred* Pigou. Shit happens. But Hillary Clinton 'Hilary'? Give me a fucking break!"

( . . . )

"Oh, I see. The same fucking autocorrect program that gave us 'test' for 'text' and 'James Dean' for 'James Deen.' That's just great."

( . . . )

( . . . )

( . . . )

"Yeah, well, all right, OK."

( . . . )

"Thanks, but I quit smoking."

( . . . )

"Yeah, yeah, I'll look into that buyout thing again. See ya."
