Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered:

The Den Theatre in Wicker Park hosts Vagina II, an interdisciplinary arts event featuring female-empowered works of photography and videos in addition to an hour-long performance piece.

DJ Shadow performs at the Mid in the West Loop in support of his greatest-hits collection Reconstructed: The Best of DJ Shadow, which "demonstrates his dazzling craft and ear for detail, though much of the later stuff sounds relatively conventional compared to his cinematic early work," according to Peter Margasak. DJ Intel, Zebo, and Moppy open.

At the Gene Siskel Film Center, former Reader film critic Fred Camper concludes his long-running series "American Cinema in the 1950s" with a selection of notable avant-garde classics, including films by Maya Deren and Stan Brakhage.
