Fortieth Day
  • Fortieth Day
Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered:

"Adoration of the Flesh," a zombie-themed group exhibition currently on display at the Charnel House in Logan Square, features site-specific installations and media displays.

Chicago metal supergroup Fortieth Day perform at Reggie's Rock Club. The show's worth checking out not only for how infrequently the band performs live—this is only the second time it's happened all year—but also for what Monica Kendrick describes as "a surgical procedure, with a stripped-down and relatively chilly hypnotic-drone aesthetic." Caltrop, Black Skies, Alma Negra, and Al-Thawra open.

Novelist and playwright Kat Meads shares excerpts from her latest book, For You, Madam Lenin, a fictionalized account of Lenin's family, at Women & Children First.
