Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered:

In case there's anyone left on the planet who isn't morbidly fascinated with the life and music of R. Kelly, the Hungry Brain presents R. Kelly 101, a biographical chronicle of the R&B singer's 20-year career, culminating in a screening of his magnum opus, Trapped in the Closet.

Kansas City rapper Ssion, notable member of the burgeoning gay hip-hop scene, stops by the Empty Bottle in support of his 2011 LP, Bent, which Miles Raymer calls "extremely excellent . . . a loving evocation of 80s and 90s club music as well as a tribute to the era's gay club culture." House of LaDosha and Big Dipper open while local DJ Teen Witch Fan Club spins.

Newberry Library hosts the Big Draw, a free event at which attendees can design their own book covers from ideas and concepts provided by the library's collection. The best of the bunch will go on display on the library's front fence.
