A food truck law that pleases no one but the pols and other food news bites

Yesterday a revised food truck ordinance passed the City Council's License and Consumer Protection Committee, to the outrage of nearly everyone there, Monica Eng reports. The full council votes on it next week.

The Nation of Islam's Salaam Restaurant is back, says the Examiner.

B.K. Park (ex-Arami) and Jason Chan (ex-Urban Union) are teaming up on a new sushi and seafood restaurant, according to Dish.

Anthony Bourdain was in town this week, filming for The Layover. High jinks ensued.

The blood is drying on the field. Bleeding Heart Bakery & Cafe becomes West Town Bakery & Diner, says Eater.
