It's troubled teen week at the European Union Festival Film Festival, whose offerings include Putin's Kiss, a Danish documentary about the rabid pro-Kremlin youth group Nashi; Innocence, a Czech suspense flick about a 14-year-old who accuses her doctor of rape; Ave, the story of a 17-year-old runaway in Bulgaria; and Belle Epine, about a 16-year-old girl freaking out after her mother's death. We also have a Reader Recommends for Friends With Kids, the latest from actor-writer Jennifer Westfeldt (Ira & Abby, Kissing Jessica Stein), and new reviews of Being Flynn, with Robert De Niro as a vain and delusional writer; The Fighting 69th, an old Warners war movie with James Cagney; The Forgiveness of Blood, Joshua Marston's first film since Maria Full of Grace (2004); John Carter, a live-action adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs by Pixar director Andrew Stanton; Lured, a Douglas Sirk noir with (get this) Lucille Ball and Boris Karloff; and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, a romantic comedy by Lasse Halstrom (Chocolat).

Best bets for repertory: Abderrahmane Sissako's Bamako (2006), Sunday and Tuesday at Gene Siskel Film Center; David Fincher's Fight Club (1999) and Michel Hazanavicius's OSS 117: Lost in Rio (2009), both at midnight on Friday and Saturday at Music Box; Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood (2007), Friday at University of Chicago Doc Films; and Pola Rapaport's Writer of O (2004), Tuesday at Jane Addams Hull-House Museum. Up in Evanston, the annual Talking Pictures Festival continues through Sunday night at Noyes Cultural Arts Center.
