After months of hype, Jared Van Camp’s opulent Randolph Street restaurant Nellcôte opens tonight. Though he made a name for himself with his house-made charcuterie at Old Town Social, here he’s taking a completely different tack, offering a European-influenced small-plates menu inspired by the villa the restaurant takes its name from, where the Rolling Stones stayed while recording Exile on Main Street. Van Camp has installed a flour mill and will be using it for his bread collection served with house-cultured butter as well as in pizzas and pastas, the latter of which include items like frog leg raviolini and hand-cut taglioni with champagne, oysters, creme fraiche, and chives. Other plates include escargots, a foie gras torchon, veal sweetbreads, and Robuchon potatoes; items are priced between $9 and $15. You can download the launch menu here.
