There's no snow, but that doesn't mean you can't indulge in some ski chic. Looks inspired by the slopes are streamlined and sleek—the antithesis of the lumpy, bulky shapes cold weather usually brings.

J. Crew's handknit sweater with a Scandinavian motif combines ethnic heritage with a contemporary fit ($99-$148 at jcrew.com).

More fashionable skiwear after the jump.

Little did early Nordic people foresee that the patterns they invented—originally created to warm up knit sweaters—would be transferred to the legging ($16.99 at boutiquetoyou.com). It won't make you any warmer, but if you're wearing leggings in winter, you probably don't care.

No cute ski-bunny ensemble would be complete without pom-poms. This neck warmer is adorable and functional (Hunter neck warmer, $85 at bloomingdales.com).

These boots aren't exactly ready to hit the slopes, but it's the apres-ski that's most important, non? ($170 at Topshop.)

The pristine white jacket—so classic, so luxurious. All you need are some matching earmuffs and dark sunglasses. Just make sure you don't spill your toddy on it (Greta down jacket from the North Face, $299 at bloomingdales.com).
