Four men beaten as teens swarm downtown areas

Mobs of teenagers have been gathering in downtown Chicago, orchestrating groups to rob stores and attack people. The latest incident featured four beatings over the weekend. (Tribune/Sun-Times)

Mayor Daley’s son, Patrick, received more than $700,000 related to the sale of the company that won a city contract to provide wireless internet service at O’Hare. Previously, the Daley administration had said the younger Daley had no financial stake in the firm; he acted as a middleman to secure investors. (Sun-Times)

Another Daley relative, R.J. Vanecko, who Chicago police tied to the 2004 death of a suburban man, helped finance a number of films starring Hollywood heavyweights such as Cameron Diaz, Robert De Niro, and Ricky Gervais. (Sun-Times)
