House approves Chicago casino; Emanuel "key" to deal

The Illinois House approved plans yesterday for a casino in Chicago, while senate president John Cullerton called Gov. Quinn “irrelevant” to the current budget process. Skokie Democrat rep. Lou Lang said Mayor Emanuel's lobbying was "key" to the gambling bill's passage. (Tribune)
