Unfortunately it arrived too late to be reviewed in our Spring Books Issue, but this week the Reader did actually receive a review copy of Advanced Melting Technologies With Submerged Combustion (Rosedog Books, 420 pages), by L.S. Pioro, I.L. Pioro, B.S. Soroka, and T.O. Kostyuk.

Random passage:

The tube heaters distinguished by expenditure of chemical (combustion) primary energy are presented by radiant and immersion-type heaters. First of them (radiant tubes) serve for firing the industrial furnaces, mainly—of heat treatment ones, where the heat receivers—ingots—are arranged within the gas (of special gas atmosphere or an air) space. The principal kind of heat transfer between the radiant tube and the ingots is radiation.

The book currently sits at #10,115,823 on Amazon.
