Golden Globes: First Impressions

I love when green makes a comeback.

I'm not even sure who Olivia Wilde is but this is the ultimate princess dream dress (in a good way).

I usually love Julianne Moore's risk-taking and Alber Elbaz of Lanvin is an acknowledged genius, but on TV it looked like her sleeve got caught in her necklace.

Not a lot of people could get away with such a plain dress and a potentially frumpy jewel neckline, but Emma Stone did—of course, being flush and creamy with youth helps.

Jane Krakowski's slate-blue Grecian-draped dress was more successful (and less controversial) than the giant flower in the middle of Natalie Portman's decollete.

Up-to-the-crotch slits: dangerous when you're on an elevated stage, you'd think.

Jane Fonda looked terrific and was even able to pull off space-age shoulders, but why pair a fashion-forward dress with such an aging hairstyle?
