One of our best country musicians, deep-voiced guit-steel virtuoso Junior Brown (a former college-level instructor of country music under the wing of Bob Wills vet Leon McAuliffe), plays the Old Town School of Folk Music (7 pm and 10 pm, 4544 North Lincoln Ave, (773) 728-6000, $38, $36 members, $34 seniors and children). For my money, "My Wife Thinks You're Dead" stands with the masterpieces of the genre.

After the jump, Leon McAuliffe tearing it up on the pedal steel.
