11/20—Free Classes at the Old Town School of Folk Music

On Sat 11/20, the Old Town School of Folk Music (4544 N. Lincoln) hosts an open house with free classes from 5 to 10 PM. Sample introductory music classes include Intro to Harmonica, Guitar 101, Brazilian Vocals, and Women's Rock; dance classes include Mexican Folk, Belly Dance, and Irish Step. The festivities include performances by the Barehand Jugband at 8:15 PM and Mexican folk group Tarima Son at 9. A full schedule of sample classes (they run 50 minutes) is available here. Some instruments will be available, but BYO is encouraged.
