Three's a Crowd/Trend

Joel Klein steps down as the chancellor of New York City's public schools, the third high-profile big-city reformer to quit on the heels of Michelle Rhee in DC and Ron Huberman in Chicago. It's tempting to make something of this, as public education reform remains at an ongoing high simmer, but Rhee and Huberman are exiting before getting new bosses, which can't be discounted; it'll be interesting to see what Klein says regarding his decision.
