Tonight: The Death of Centrism?

Posted By on 11.02.10 at 02:22 PM

If a few likely things come to pass tonight—I'm thinking in particular of Ron Johnson ousting Russ Feingold in Wisconsin and Sharron Angle doing the same to Harry Reid in Nevada—expect to hear much lamenting about Our Divided Nation, along the lines of Thomas Friedman pining for a Tea Party of the Radical Center, whatever that means.

In that event, it's worth considering a take from the most compelling conservative on the Internet, Daniel Larison, who sees this election as the chickens coming home to roost for centrists on both sides of the aisle (and across the pond).
