Just a reminder as we head into the most partisanest election in history except maybe the last one and maybe another one: it really wouldn't surprise me if it turned out that the two most liked Obama appointees, at least among well-informed liberal Democrats, are a Republican (Ray LaHood) and a Republican-'til-the-Gingrich-administration (Elizabeth Warren).

Speaking of Warren, her husband's 2009 work, Republic of Debtors: Bankruptcy in the Age of American Independence, looks fascinating.
