The Trib's cover story today is about an attempt by three Indiana coroners to tie three unidentified bodies to serial killer Larry Eyler, who died in 1994. It's an interesting story, and if true crime is your thing (it's mine, among less seamy interests), you might set aside some time for John Conroy's 1992 piece about the strange lives of Eyler and the boy whose murder put him on death row, Danny Bridges, not to mention the tangled legal drama that followed Bridges's death.

(As one might guess, Eyler's early life was extremely troubled—as was Bridges's, for that matter—which reminds me of "Child Abuse on the Brain," a 1992 piece by Steve Bogira on PTSD and childhood violence. I digress.)
