848 reports that thousands of Chicago police are expected to protest Jody Weis's leadership on Wednesday. They've got an interview with Mark Donahue of the Fraternal Order of Police, who discusses their beef, and resources are at the top of the list. Last month, Ben Joravsky covered the story of the vanishing Chicago beat cop, and why the numbers are even lower than they seem.

Update: The FOP publishes an open letter telling Weis to resign.
