Baltimore Sun, February 27, 1893. Stories like these were hardy perennials: Every where med schools existed, body parts would turn up in public, the cry of foul play would be heard, and then the whole mess was chalked up to medical students on a lark. I've yet to see any follow-up stories about the punishment of the malefactors. This crap happened so frequently, there just had to have been actual murders concealed by the forensic noise produced by douchebag medical students and their monotonous, predictable, lame-ass, one-joke sense of humor. A shrewd turn-of-the-century serial killer would have done really well to part out his victims piecemeal in the vicinity of a medical school. He never would have breached the law enforcement radar. That's a good premise for a historical potboiler there, actually.
