Uptown Indian restaurant Marigold and mixologist Adam Seger team up for Hum Do (Hindi for “the two of us”), a four-course meal with cocktail pairings highlighting Seger’s Hum Botanical Spirit, a rum-based liqueur infused with hibiscus, ginger, cardamom, and kaffir lime. Chef Juan Luis serves family recipes like chicken tamales, pan-seared whitefish over mole verde Michoacano, and piloncillo rice pudding at Cena Michoacana con Tequila Corralejo, a four-course dinner with tequila cocktail pairings. A rep from Tequila Corralejo will kick things off with a talk on the history and cultural significance of the Mexican liquor. 7 PM, Fuego Mexican Grill & Margarita Bar, 2047 N. At Rock Bottom Brewery's third annual Rockfest, guests can sample and vote on up to 50 different beers from the brewing company’s eight midwest locations. The winning regional brewer receives an award called the “Golden Bung Hammer.” The event also serves as a welcome party for Rock Bottom’s new Chicago brewmaster, Chris Rafferty. Brunch spot Jam, which recently began serving dinner, hosts a four-course wine dinner with asparagus soup, foie gras tortellini, and more. There's a wine-and-canape reception at 6 PM. A ChicaGourmets event. 6:30 PM, Jam, 937 N. Damen, 773-489-0302, $69.

Perennial chef Ryan Poli maneuvers around common food allergens, including gluten, dairy, and nuts, to create a four-course allergen-free dinner at Perennial. As part of its Right Bite dinner series, Shedd Aquarium sponsors this Sustainable Seafood Feast, which includes courses like Lake Superior whitefish crostini, and wild Alaskan halibut with sorrel gnocchi, pears, fava beans, and lemon beurre blanc. Shedd horticulturalist Christine Nye will discuss eco-friendly gardening, giving each guest a gardening kit to take home.
