DeRo rates the Lolla lineup. I don't have any skin in the game—I don't like outdoor concerts, because I'm an agoraphobe—so I'm even more eh about Pop Pitchfork. So for the most part I agree with his rankings, especially about Raphael Saadiq, formerly of sore-underrated Tony! Toni! Toné!. But one thing he wrote aggravated me:

33. Drive-By Truckers: Cornpone, for sure, but predictably raucous good-time country-punk.

The only word that's not wrong in that sentence is "but," and I'm not sure about that. If you're going into a DBT set expecting good-time music, prepare to be surprised. And cornpone? Them's fighting words.

Anyway, Raphael Saadiq.
