Lincoln Hall celebrates the venue's 90-year legacy as a movie theater, most recently the 3 Penny Cinema, with "The 3 Penny Was Here," a film screening Wednesday 1/6.

Promoter Rob Jensen writes that Lincoln Hall can't list the film on their web site due to licensing issues, but "the specials should give you what they call 'The Jist,' Dude."

Lincoln Hall's Facebook page indeed confirms that they're playing the Coen Brothers' 1998 L.A. comedy The Big Lebowski, pitting consummate slacker Jeff Bridges and don't-roll-on-Shabbos Vietnam vet John Goodman against a gang of nihilist kidnappers.

The Big Lebowski screens Wednesday 1/6 at 7 PM at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln. The screening is free. $3 White Russians, Bud draughts and cactus or steak tacos.
