The fledgling local production company Beverly Ridge Pictures brings it home Sunday 12/27 with a benefit screening at the Beverly Arts Center of their mob drama Chicago Overcoat, partly inspired by the Family Secrets trials.
Sopranos heavy Frank Vincent stars as a hitman doing a final job to finance his Vegas retirement, doggedly pursued by a bleary detective (Danny Goldring). With Mike Starr, Armand Assante, Kathrine Narducci, and Stacy Keach.
Chicago Overcoat, which premiered in October at the Chicago International Film Festival, screens Sunday 12/27 at 2 and 5:30 PM at the Beverly Arts Center, 2047 W. 111th Street. Proceeds benefit the BAC and Maple Morgan Park Food Pantry. Non-perishable food donations welcome. $7, $5 for members.
