Free H1N1 Vaccinations

The city of Chicago will offer free H1N1 vaccinations to high-risk city residents at several locations starting Saturday and continuing Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, Chicago Breaking News reports.

Those who are eligible—pregnant women, young people between 6 months and 24 years old, health-care workers, caregivers for children under six months old, and people with chronic health conditions like asthma or diabetes—will be given the vaccinations on a first-come, first-served basis. People who have doctors are encouraged to get vaccinated at their doctor's office, as the vaccines are intended for those who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford them. The following locations will offer the vaccine Saturdays from 9 AM to 2 PM and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-8 PM:

Kennedy King College, 6301 S. Halsted
Olive Harvey College, 10001 S. Woodlawn
Richard J. Daley College, 7500 S. Pulaski
Truman College, 1145 W. Wilson
Arturo Velasquez Institute, 2800 S. Western
Wright College, 4300 N. Narragansett

Vaccinations will also be offered at several schools in Will County starting next week; find a list of dates and locations here.
