Kari Lydersen, author of Revolt on Goose Island and this week's Reader cover story, has a piece in In These Times on No Backward Step: The Struggle for Democracy in the Illinois Coal Fields a forthcoming documentary by Greg Boozell, proprietor of MineWar.org. Since my current reading is The Battle of Blair Mountain, about the West Virginia mine war immortalized in Matewan and Storming Heaven, I'm intrigued.
