Stop playing on my sentiment

The WGN hosts were just talking about how a few years ago, during the midst of the Abu Ghraib scandal, the idea that America could ever host the Olympics would have been insane. I have to admit that's the first time the concept of Chicago hosting them has made me sentimental. And part of me thinks we're making enough progress for that sentiment to be legitimate. And part of me thinks that we're not remotely close to having the standing to make nice.
