Make sure you wear the comfortable heels if you're going to hit all the fashionable events scheduled for this evening.

At 6, head to the Cynthia Rowley store in Bucktown to meet Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power, the creators of celebrity-style-worship site WhoWhatWear.com. Kerr and Power will be signing copies of their new guide to fashion and beauty, and Rowley will be in attendance too.

The shopping version of the pub crawl—with snacks, drinks, and discounts of up to 20 percent—takes place from 5 to 8 at Walk the West Loop. Participating retailers include new boutique Fix, Tribeca, and Smitten.

If all this consumption makes you feel guilty, you can shop for a cause from 6 to 9:30 at Wine, Women & Shoes. Lori's, Akira, Shirise, and other boutiques will donate 20 percent of the proceeds to UNICEF's Accelerated Child Survival Initiative, and there are silent auctions and a raffle for clothes, travel, and other stuff. Tickets are $85-125.

Finally, do the people at Akira ever slow down? They're holding yet another splashy runway do, titled the Avalanche. This one features a sportier, outdoorsy look with clothes and shoes by Tretorn and AG Jeans at Vlive. The show starts at 7 but seating is limited; email events@akirachicago.com with the number of people in your group.
