Baconfest Cookoff tickets on sale today at noon

While Baconfest Chicago proper has been rescheduled for April, its Pro Bacon Cookoff on October 24 at the Publican is still on—and tickets go on sale at noon today.

The cheftestants competing for the Golden Rasher for the Best Use of Bacon by a Culinary Professional have been finalized. Check them out:

Gil Langlois - Chalkboard Restaurant
John Manion - Goose Island Clybourn Brewpub
Michael McDonald - one sixtyblue
Chris Pandel - The Bristol
Jason Paskewitz - Gemini Bistro
Nathan Sears - Vie
Patrick Sheerin - The Signature Room
Giuseppe Tentori - Boka

The 60 spectators will get a tasting portion of each competitor's dish, ten two-ounce beer tastings selected by Master of Ceremonies Paul Kahan, and a "bacon gift bag."
