  • Shecky's Girls Night Out

Tonight is your last chance to hit Shecky's Girls Night Out, a semiannual shopping blowout at Union Station where the local vendors include Five Accessories and vfish. General admission tickets are sold out but if you act fast you might be able to grab one of the $15 tickets, which include a goodie bag.

Also tonight, the city hosts its quarterly Fashion Cafe series, a combo shopping and networking event. This cafe focuses on accessories. Local designers and retailers attending include Zola Jones and Chic Gems. It's from 5 to 8 at the Chicago Cultural Center, 77 E. Randolph.

In the West Loop, local designer Kate Jacobsen holds a Metro Mama fashion show at her studio and showroom, featuring her fall collection of unusual knitwear designs rendered in luxurious cashmere and wool. Cocktails start at 7 PM.

On Friday, the Chicago Fashion Foundation throws its annual membership meeting for local fashion professionals who are members or thinking about joining up. It's $15 for nonmembers in advance, $20 at the door.

Also on Friday, shopping site the Stiletto Squad hosts a runway show and sale of fall designs at the Palmer House, 17 E. Monroe. Drinks start at 8 and the models start strutting an hour after that.

Saturday, Lincoln Park's B Boutique shows off new fall designs and hosts a tea party with guests including local designers Alice Berry, Lauren Lein, and Tennille White as well as stylist Brenda Levesque and free chair massages to wipe away that shopping-related stress. It's from 2 to 5.
