Local filmmaker Mark Harris hosts a DVD release party tonight for his romantic drama I Used to Love Her

Toya Turner stars as a disenchanted Christian pop singer who drops out of the industry and returns to Chicago, where she gets involved with a working class Muslim (Mel Roberson).  With Simeon Henderson, Sheree Bynum, Lil’ Rel, Lorenzo Hunt, Tiffany Curtis, Dori King, Damon Williams and Baldhead.

It's tonight at 6 at The Spoken Word Café, 4655 S. King Dr.  $25 tickets at the door include DVD, buffer dinner, and step dance performance.
