Five local filmmakers offer stories of Chicagoans cutting loose with their dance moves, board games, puppets, and bikes in Chicago360 v.4: Play, a new collection of short documentaries from local film production and media education nonprofit Split Pillow, premiering tonight at the Music Box Theatre.

John Pappas, aka WNUR's DJ Sangre, explores Chicago's legacy as the 1980s birthplace of house music in Home Sweet House. Sam Barber's Nerds at Heart reveals a board-game-centric nerd dating service.  Jennifer Thornton follows the adult cheerleader squad Chicago Spirit Brigade in Cheerleader for Life. RJ Buckler offers a portrait of subversive puppeteer Allison Daniel in Beetlebomb. And John Firak takes us inside the perilous world of year-round bike commuting in Breakwater Bicycle

Chicago360 v.4: Play premieres tonight at 7:30 PM at the Music Box, 3733 N. Southport; $9. It's also playing Saturday, May 30, at 7 PM at the Viaduct Theater, 3111 N. Western; $7. And Sunday, May 31, at 4 PM at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia;  $7.
