The probabilities of probable swine flu

One of the things that confused me earlier today was what "probable" meant in the case of swine flu. The Trib has a important, greatly clarifying update. I actually just got off the phone with Tim Hadac, Department of Health public information officer, who told me, along similar lines, that the difference between "probable" and "confirmed" is "almost negligible."
