Readers of this blog will know that the Annoyance Theatre held a benefit last night for Tony HighHorse--a 29-year-old Iraq war veteran (and cousin of Annoyance actor George McAuliffe) who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer--to make it possible for him to visit family and "military brothers" before it's too late. You'll also remember that the big money-getter for the event was to be a walk-on role in HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm, donated by Jeff Garlin.

Well, it turns out the walk-on was a really big money-getter. Someone who refused to be identified more specifically than as "Anthony from Chicago" won it with a bid of $13,600. And that doesn't include air fare or accommodations.

According to Annoyance's Jennifer Estlin, the total for the evening was $18,000, with about 35 gifts raffled off. That should cover HighHorse's expenses for his planned trips to California, Arizona, Texas, Missouri, and New Jersey.
