The House impeachment was inevitable, I just wanted to use that headline. Milt "the Scrivener" Patterson was the only vote against; he "said after the roll call that he didn't feel it was his job to vote to impeach the governor."

The Sun-Times cover today is awesome. FWIW I know nothing about Milt Patterson, and can find no evidence that we've ever written about him. Richard Carnahan described him in Gapers Block as looking like "a perpetually displeased junior high principal."

Update: Elga Jefferies voted "present," which as we all remember from the great Obama Vote Categorization Controversy of '08 is equivalent to "no."
