Undercutting the bootleggers

Momus made six records for Alan McGee's Creation label in the late 80s and early 90s, but Creation isn't a label anymore, and Sony, which ended up owning the material, doesn't seem to be in a big rush to reissue 20-year-old semi-obscure avant-pop albums. So right now they aren't in print.

Being the type of person who doesn't take too kindly to being told what to do--and generally more of a badass than your average Jacques Brel wannabe--Momus has decided to start bootlegging himself by posting annotated song-by-song MP3 rips of those otherwise unavailable albums on his blog. The first, The Poison Boyfriend, is up now, and he'll post the rest, advent-calendar style, throughout the month.
