Correspondent and fellow southerner-in-exile Wes e-mails:

"My sister-in-law's at the National Civil Rights Museum in the former Hotel Lorraine down in Memphis. She says it had heavy traffic today, all comers talking Obama. Her grandmother voted for Obama after seeing the infomercial and when 30-year-old, southern white sister-in-law related said story to a southern Africa-American woman in attendance they wept together. AMERICA!"
