El Proyecto Odisea, the subject of a 2007 story that aired on WFMT, offers low-income adult Spanish speakers a free college-level introduction to the humanities, with classes in academic writing, philosophy, literature, history, and art history taught by faculty from DePaul and the University of Chicago. Applications (available online here) are being accepted through Friday, October 10, for the next session, which starts in November. Tuition and books are free; classes will be held Mondays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 PM at Pilsen's Gads Hill Center (1919 W. Cullerton).
