If you thought Chicago would speak with one voice now that our favorite son is running for president, you were wrong.

In today's vote on the proposed $700 billion Wall Street bailout, Chicago's congressional delegation, all Democrats, was split: three in favor, four against.

A curious lineup emerged. Representatives Jesse Jackson, Bobby Rush, and Dan Lipinski were against. Rahm Emanuel, Jan Schakowsky, Danny Davis, and Luis Gutierrez were in favor.

The state delegation was also split--nine in favor, nine against, with the lame-duck Jerry Weller not voting. Among the area reps in tightly contested re-election battles, Republican Mark Kirk and Democrats Melissa Bean and Bill Foster all voted in favor.

Click here to read (under "Recent posts to Issues and Positions") how Jackson explained his vote.
