Maybe you remember the Via Lago Cafe, home of "uptown Chicago's famous illuminated glass dance floor," but if not you can get a peek at what it looked like at this amazing collection of 250-some Chicago restaurant postcards. Most of them are long gone, but a few are still alive, like Won Kow and the Sky Ride (though it looks a little different today). This isn't strictly a restaurant site--there are cards for almost 4,000 different Chicago buildings printed before 1950, but the restaurants have their own page. via
