9/16 & 9/17 -- Weatherizing your bungalow

Posted By on 09.15.08 at 11:12 AM

Winter is creeping toward us, and historic bungalow owners face special challenges when preparing for the season. The Historic Chicago Bungalow Association is hosting a free seminar to help you out. "Weatherizing the Chicago Bungalow" will be offered twice: Tuesday, September 16, at the South Shore Cultural Center (7059 S. South Shore Dr.) and Wednesday, September 17, at Oriole Park Library (7454 W. Balmoral); both start at 7 PM. The HCBA will provide information on how to air seal your home and apply for grants of up to $6,000 for installing insulation, air sealing, and new heaters. RSVP to or 312-642-9900.
