Eric Zorn has a thoughtful column on Rev. Meeks's plan to bus students to wealthy suburbs to protest funding disparity; the Chicago Reporter has a statistical analysis of property taxes and school funding. Alexander Russo of the District 299 blog weighs in at Huffington Post; here's Mick Dumke's take. Also interesting: the NYT Mag's piece on the New Orleans public schools, headed up by former CPS chief and possible future gubernatorial candidate Paul Vallas.

Update: The Rev. Meeks is heading to Denver to try to broker a deal with Mike Madigan and Emil Jones.
