The Arbor Day Foundation is offering ten free trees--flowering, oak, or Colorado blue spruce--to anyone who joins the organization during the month of August; new members will also receive the Tree Book, which explains tree planting and care. Trees will be shipped between October 15 and December 10; availability depends on local climate and weather. Membership costs $10 and can be purchased online or sent to 100 Arbor Ave., Nebraska City, NE 68410. Call 888-448-7337 for details.
