Per my request, Ben weighs in with a thoughtful analysis of the Steve Stone/Ed Farmer tag team and the recent history of White Sox broadcasting. Just let me reemphasize: if you like baseball, MLB Gameday Audio is the best money-to-entertainment bargain this side of a used copy of Infinite Jest. It's worth it just to listen to the truly great non-local radio voices; as much as I enjoy Ed Farmer, Steve Stone, and half-ironically Ron Santo, it's kind of hard to argue with the LA Dodgers' Charley Steiner/Vin Scully platoon. Also, Bob Ueker in Milwaukee, and Jon Miller in San Francisco.
