Turn-signal jackets and moonwalking bears

While the city's on the subject of safe cycling, perhaps we can take all that money from fines and offer subsidized turn-signal jackets. Colorado CompSci PhD student Leah Buechley made this one with her LilyPad Arudino e-textile sewable computer chip, which you can buy, and thus presumably you can make your own turn-signal jacket (via MAKE).

That, and this ingenious PSA has to get on the air immediately (h/t Ruth).
