Local genius grant-winner Ken Vandermark and Boston pianist Pandelis Karayorgis, who collaborated on last year's Foreground Music, play a free show tonight at 7 PM at the Chicago Cultural Center. "The music they make together, though hardly frenetic, is tightly focused and packed with ideas, leaping from unison passages to interpenetrating simultaneous solos," writes Peter Margasak.
