The Freshman Comp award for lede of the week goes to:

It's a debate dating back to the post-Civil War period that still rages today.

Which is more prevalent in America: racism or sexism?

Though there is no clear or fair answer to the question, that hasn't stopped the comparison from being made.

What today's RedEye cover story really did for me, though, was convince me of the following truth: RedEye's touchstone, its soul, is 1994-era MTV. If they just did a Rocketboom-like podcast of Tabitha Soren reading each day's edition, I'd be hooked.
