There's been a tide of new mom-and-pop Cuban restaurants lately, what with El Cubanito on Pulaski, Borincuba on Irving Park, and Con Sabor Cubano on Lawrence. We were getting set to run a review next week of CSC's sandwiches when they up and expanded their menu on Saturday. Rey Perez--who runs the joint with his dad, three brothers, and a cousin--says they've added croquetas, tamales, papas rellenas, and empanadas to the daily selection of five sandwiches and excellent coffee. So we'll wait to weigh in until we get a bite of those, but it's not ending there. By the end of March, Con Sabor Cubano is planning to offer a daily special with rice and beans.
